Color My World

I'm not a big fan of colder weather, but one of the best things about Colorado this time of the year is that we get spectacular sunrises. I shot these yesterday morning on my way to the office. There was no way to do anything about the foreground or powerlines--I just wanted to capture the colors before they were gone. And while a picture is worth a thousand words, or something like that, a picture really can't do justice to the amazing colors we get in our Colorado skies.

I was flying down Buchtel Boulevard, trying to get the best vantage point before it was gone. The last shot was taking out the backdoor of my office.

Gorgeous! I really miss Colorado. It's been since, uh, 2000 that I've been there. One of these days, I'm gonna dig deep for a ticket to Denver. Being able to drive to your amazing sounding tea place is reason enough to shell out the money.
